Our Story
In 2024, our founder, Alek Wobeck wrote a blog post about preventing child sexual abuse inspired by my own experiences as a survivor. While researching the topic, I came across the Australian Childhood Maltreatment Study and Australia's National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children. This inspired me to pursue a Master's of Global Health at the University of Sydney in 2025 where my research focused on domestic violence prevention.
When the Epstein files were released earlier this year, I was horrified and dumbfounded by the atrocities committed. I grew more and more cynical and distressed as virtually no support was given to women and girls by businesses or schools to process and cope with the events. After realizing how heavily involved Bill Gates was in Epstein's affairs, I came to the conclusion that there was no way I could get meaningful grant funding to protect women and children from violence given the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's influence on public health. I became more and more frustrated with the links between Western universities and Israeli institutions, and I ultimately arrived at the conclusion that I could accomplish more through launching my own social venture(s) than as an academic.
I decided to start Not All Men to challenge and urge men to use their privileges to protect women and girls. I bring experience as a Georgia Tech and Fulbright alum, ex strategy consultant, trilingual researcher, and disability rights advocate - but most importantly - as a hardcore feminist and lover of women.
I am working on building a Board of Directors to oversee our operations and manage the Not All Men Foundation Fund. I strive to build a diverse group of change makers comprised of business leaders, academics, community organizers, medical professionals, parents, and anyone who has a passion for protecting and supporting women and girls.
Please reach out to me at alek@not-all-men.org if you are interested in joining the board or would like to recommend someone. Our mission and values will be drafted once the board is established. For now, I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes that holds a profoundly special place in my heart:
